Common questions

How does sharing work?

Sharing is per category, not per account. You choose which categories another person can see — share Groceries with your partner while your personal spending stays private. Each share carries a permission: view only, add entries, edit your own entries, or edit everything in that category.

I invited someone by email and they have not appeared

An invitation sent to an address that has no Kanjō account yet stays pending until that person registers with the same address. It is claimed automatically when they sign up. Invitations are listed on your Invites page until they are accepted or declined.

Receipt scanning missed something

Scanned receipts are a starting point, not a final answer. Every field an automatic scan fills in can be edited before you save, and line items can be split across several categories or dismissed individually.

Why is an amount in a different currency?

Entries keep the currency you recorded them in, alongside the exchange rate that applied on that date, and totals are reported in your base currency. Changing your base currency later does not rewrite past entries — their original amounts and rates are preserved.

Managing or cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions bought on iPhone or iPad are managed by Apple: open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions. We cannot cancel or refund an App Store purchase on your behalf. Subscriptions bought on the web can be managed from Settings in the web app.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and all of its data from Settings in the app or on the web. Deletion is immediate and permanent — entries, receipts, uploaded statements, and shares are removed. See our privacy policy for what this covers.

Reporting a problem

For anything that looks like a bug, data loss, or a security issue, email support@kanjo.sg with as much detail as you can. Security reports are welcome and we will acknowledge them.
